Things To Do When You Visit California.

There are so many great things to do in California. It makes the perfect choice for your next vacation. Some start their vacation out in one city and drive up the coast to visit other cities and attractions. The Pacific Coast Highway is amazing and has incredible views. If you have less time or maybe it is just a weekend excursion then research and plan your trip based on you and your families interests. In Los Angeles, California there are many fun things to do. Those with families love all the wonderful amusement parks in the Anaheim area.

You can find Disneyland, Knottsberry Farms, and much much more to keep your family entertained. If shopping is your thing then take a stroll up Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills. Even if you cannot afford the treasures you see it is fun to people watch and window shop. If you drive about an hour and a half south of Los Angeles you can visit San Diego and see the famous San Diego Zoo, La Jolla Beach Surfers, and Legoland. Legoland is an amusement park made out of lego's. Kids and adults love it. If you take a drive north of Los Angeles then take a trip along the Pacific Coast Highway. You will be able to view some of the most amazing coastal homes as you venture up to your next destination. Take a stop in Carmel California. This is where Clint Eastwood was the Mayor. It is a quaint town with great restaurants and shopping. Your next stop up can be in Monterrey California.

Make a stop at the famed aquarium and have lunch. Continuing north on the coast of California you will find still more things to do. San Francisco is an amazing city. You have Fishermans Wharf where there is great dining, shopping and seals. The seals like to lounge in the harbor for your viewing pleasure. Take the ferry over to Alcatraz and take their audio walking tour. Here you will learn the history of the island and of the prison. There is a lot of walking so be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes. In town visit Ghiradelli for some of their delicious chocolate and walk along the streets of San Francisco. If you still have time head north to the Napa Valley, California's wine country. Take winery tours, hot air balloon rides, and visit fine restaurants. There are all types of lodging here from hotels to bed and breakfast houses. Be sure to take some wine home for your friends and family back home. There is so much to do in California that one trip usually cannot cover it all. Most people go back time after time. You can even drive from California to Las Vegas through the desert.
